Dreamweaver ASP + Templates problem

Hi I am using Dreamweaver 8 and have a problem.

My templates were working fine for few pages but now when I try to add a record set(query) in a page based off it it says It would edit code locked by the template so can't do it.

In the other template for the site it lets me add the binding but then if I try to add a master details page using the insert-->application object menu it gives the same error as when adding a record set to the other page.

The thing I don't get is that both templates worked fine for a bit and now don't. I havent used dreamweaver for a while but remembered it actually being good....turns out it is actually rubbish lol....unless anybody can help?

This is really urgent and I don't know how to code the ASP myself so I am relying on dreamweavers built in tools that have worked perfectly in the past.
