Why Should You Create Your Own Product?

Well the first obvious answer is because you'll make 100% commission instead of the usual 35%-75% from affiliate programs. Do you really understand the power of this though? Imagine the following 2 scenarios:

Scenario #1
You’ve just signed up to be an affiliate for a product. Now you site down and write a sales letter for a product that pays you 50% commission. You then spend $80 to advertise that sales letter. From the sales letter and advertisement you end up generating 4 sales. If the product was $47 dollars you will have made $23.50 x 4 = $94, which ends up being $14 profit (remember you spent $80 on advertising)…

Scenario #2
You write a sales letter for your own product that pays you 100% commission. You then spend $80 to advertise that sales letter. You end up generating 4 sales from that sales letter and advertising. If the product was $47 dollars you will have made $47 x 4 = $188, which ends up being $108 profit.

I think we'd all take scenario #2! You could repeat that process over and over… then all you’d need to do is just take $80 out of your total sales revenue and continue making $108 dollars over and over again. If you could make scenario #2 happen everyday then you would be making $108 a day, which turns out to be $39,420 per year!

The next benefit of having your own product is being able to implement an affiliate program. This way you have a sales force out there advertising your product for you. The affiliates then become your paid advertising, but you only have to pay when they have actually generated a sale. That takes all the risk of your hands and puts it all in the affiliates hands.

Finally, you have the most underestimated benefit of being portrayed as an expert in your field. This is how the big dogs got to be big dogs. They sold a product which teaches others about a specific topic and society raises us to see our teachers as superiors. There are hundreds of rich real estate developers in the world, but because Donald has sold books on the subject he becomes perceived as the expert. The others are still just as rich and knowledgeable.

Take Robert Kiyosaki as an example. All he really did was tell us that we should go into business for ourselves to become successful. When you boil it all down that is really all he said. That advice is as old as civilization, but just because he wrote and sold a book on the subject he is perceived as a “guru” in becoming successful. The same goes for just about every information seller. None of them were the first to come up with these ideas and teachings they just applied those teachings, became successful and then told others how to do it.

My Name is Chaunna Brooke, I work side by side with my Husband Justin Brooke on our home business SiteFlipAcademy. SiteFlipAcademy is the largest single source for website flipping information in the world. We used to spend our days with affiliate marketing and after all our effort only received commissions on half of each sale we completed. Since then, we’ve started creating our own products and have found much more success.
