If you want to have passive income on your website (you set something up one time, and you kee[ receiving income over and over again with minimal participation), there are quite a few easy steps that you can take.
One way of generating passive income is to set up your website that users set up the content for. Maybe allow people to add their own photos, blogs or news. This will mean that you are consistent in getting repeat visitors, and people will want to keep coming back. Set this up with affiliate marketing on your site, or use Google AdSense, and the click through’s can help generate income without your doing anything extra.
Another option is for you to set up your own affiliate marketing program. Make a product and put it on an affiliate network. Let people sign up so that they can market your product, and in return offer them a percentage of the sales cost. If you sign up with certain payment processors, such as Clickbank, they will even pay the affiliates on your behalf.
Provide the person with the tools and information for them to get started, such as ads they can place on their website, or autoresponders to use in mailing out. You will soon notice the money coming in and it will be some one else doing the work on your behalf.
Dropshipping is a fantastic way for you to have a website selling products without the need for storage and time consuming shopping of items. All you need to is find a website that will participate with you. Set up a website of your own, selling their products at a higher cost. Every time you get an order, you place the order with your supplier. They do all the work – Finding their item in their stock room, packing the item, shipping it. The only thing you have to do is market the product, and in the end, you make a profit, your customer gets their desired order and you have had very minimal work to do!
One other way is to set up your own website. Domain names & hosting etc are very cheap to buy these days. Work on the website to build up traffic, at the same time you can be making money from affiliates on the site. When you have built up the sites reputation and it is getting hits, you have a few options. You could add AdSense to the site and be paid every time someone clicks on an advertisement, you could sell advertising space, you could sell a product, just to name a few. Another option is to sell the website. It might not be passive, but you can often be be surprised how much it will sell for, and then you can go and make even more websites with your newfound capital.
There are actually quite a few ways to get passive income, but these are just a few that should hopefully get you thinking in that direction.
