The opportunities for you to get traffic to your website are endless. Just off the top my head, I could probably think of a couple hundred ways to get visitors immediately. In this article (which is Part 1 of many), we're going to discuss three specific strategies that can help give you immediate results.

The first strategy is to leave comments to other people's blogs and have a back link to your website. This is great for a plethora of reasons. First of all, people are reading blogs all the time. If there's a popular post and people are checking out the comments, just by contributing you might get traffic right away. To implement this, you can either make a very insightful post, or say something controversial. Either of these strategies should have people visiting your website instantly.

Side benefits of pasting to people's blogs are twofold. First, the link to your site helps with your search engine optimization strategies. Second, if you're looking for more content for your blog or website, by going through other people's blogs, you'll generate tons of new ideas.

The next strategy that you can use is posting answers to Yahoo Answers. This strategy has a few benefits. To begin with, when someone posts for an answer on Yahoo answers they usually kind of desperate. If you can provide them with content that will help their problem, not only will they click your link… but they'll WANT to. A great thing about Yahoo answers is that the archive their questions for a long time. If someone has the same problem or question end of sentence later on, they'll find your answer and click on your link. Other people have answered the question also may click on your link just to see what you have to say.

A side benefit is that you get a link to your website from Yahoo answers, which again, helps with your search engine optimization strategy.

A third way to get traffic to your website is to advertise your website in the appropriate category on Craigslist.com. Just like with the other strategies this has a lot of extra benefits. First, you can get immediate traffic from the people visiting Craigslist. Second, you get a back link from the site. While this won't last forever, if you're not indexed yet, it's a great way to get indexed fast. Also if have a specific keyword that you want people to search for in your ad, you'll temporarily have great results in Google most of the time.

So there you have it. Three great strategies to get website traffic to your site. Remember these are just three. Like I said I could think of hundreds out the top my head. In the coming articles we will discuss even more techniques that you can implement to see immediate traffic. Hopefully you will soon see getting traffic is a lot easier than people make it out to be.
