How to Fail at Web Business

You cannot be Bruce Lee overnight. Rome was not built in a day. Practice makes perfect. We hear these quotes all the time but we never choose to really listen to what is being said. The great successes are trying desperately to teach us the secret, but it's just not processing.

Every new affiliate or marketer jumps from one thing to the next as soon as it gets hard. Why we all think, including me, that we will be a pro at anything within a couple weeks blows my mind. Just like martial arts, tennis, chess, painting, or any skill. It takes time and practice to get better at it. If you quit as soon as it gets hard...you only hurt yourself.

In this Internet marketing game, Travis Sago of BumMarketing.com said it best, you have to be half stupid and half stubborn. You absolutely, no way around it, don't even try, must recognize what the basics are and master each one at a time. Master them...not just "Hey I made $10 bucks, next." Stick with something all the way through, keep at it, don't quit, do whatever it takes. Just keep failing and learning, failing and learning, failing and learning.

If you want to go do something exciting...go bungee jumping! Internet marketing in the beginning is hard and takes a lot of learning. If you are serious you will do the learning.

You have 2 choices the 2-3yr plan or the 45yr plan. The 2-3 year plan is where you set two or three years aside to fail and learn until you are a master at web business basics. Till finally you are getting tiny streams of money from all over the place and they build up to 6 figure recurring income streams. Or the 45 year plan where you work for someone else they do the failing and learning and you do their light work for an hourly wage. Then you retire and pray one of your kids will hit it big because you don't have enough to pay for your house, car, or medical bills anymore.
