7-Day Action Plan For Using Social Media Marketing for Lead Generation – Part 3

Part Three: Today you are going to need to create an account at many of the web 2.0 content sites for each of your niches.
So for example, you’re going to sign up at Hubpages for niche one (sample) Boise Web Design, then sign up again to Hubpages for Orlando Limo Service, and then again for Seattle Criminal Defense Layer.

NOTE – you should not use my niche or keywords they are samples and may not have a good keyword to competing pages ratio. I choose these as examples that will be used throughout this seven part article series.

Ok so for day three you’re going to create Web 2.0 content properties for each keyword. What did I just say? Content properties are sites like Squidoo.com, Hubpages.com, and Wetpaint.com. I have created a complete list of the content property sites I use regularly at the end of this article.

When you go sign up for these your goal is to get your keyword (the exact keyword you researched and put in your articles) in the URL. So for example, if I were doing this with my sample keywords I would sign up to Hubpages (and all the other content sites listed below) with my keyword “BoiseWebDesign.” When I create my Squidoo lens, I’ll type the URL as www.squidoo.com/boisewebdesign

This informs the search engines that the main topic of my site is about Boise Web Design, so when someone searches for Boise Web Design in Google, I’ll get a higher listing because my URL shows that I’m specifically related to that keyword. (Warning: if you create content properties and the URL matches the keyword, but the content on that actual page has nothing to do with that topic, you will be penalized and dropped off the Google listing QUICKLY.)

Now, since I am working with 3 different keywords, I’ll want to create a content property for each keyword – here’s my example:

www.squidoo.com/boisewebdesign
boisewebdesign.blogspot.com

www.squidoo.com/orlandolimoservice
www.hubpages.com/orlandolimoservice

www.hubpages.com/seattlecriminaldefenselawyer
www.squidoo.com/seattlecriminaldefenselawyer

NOTE: These are just examples used in this article, I do not own these or know who does

Here is a complete list of content property sites that you can use. You DO NOT need to sign up for each one for each keyword. You only need to sign up for 2 per Keyword. So if I were registering for my sample keyword “BoiseWebDesign” I would choose 3 for of the sites below.

Note: I only chose 2 for this keyword because I plan on creating a blog. When you create a blog for your keyword you will need 3 – 4 posts to have a credible source for information that people will visit. So, I will use more than one article (that I hired someone to write) on that content property. You do not have to have a blog for every keyword.

  • Squidoo.com

  • Hubpages.com

  • Blogger.com

  • Ezinearticles.com

  • Articledashboard.com

  • Gather.com

  • Wetpaint.com

  • All video sharing sites like Youtube.com, Metacafe.com, or Veoh.com

  • Digg.com

  • Propeller.com

  • Bluedot.com

You may not use all of these in the beginning, but as you continue to grow you’ll need to post more content in different places for more credibility.
