Guys, Please share your experience... after how many days or months you got your first cheque from your affiliate program???

My experience was quite bitter but after few months i realized that affiliate marketing needs time and they are profitable only after you spend time and experience in this industry. Also a lot depends on the site you hold.

My first check came for $100 two weeks in. I got pretty lucky then had a pretty slow 2 months, been going strong for 2 years ever since though Keep at it, it won't create itself but if you do it right it can sustain itself with minimal effort.

Yes you are right! Affiliate programs are easy to earn if you have good site and right way of promotion. Thanks for your reply and looking forward for more ideas and help.

Most networks pay monthly or twice-monthly, so a better question may be when you first started earning revenues?

It'll take longer to begin earning with banner ads as opposed to more aggressive marketing strategies such as PPC. With PPC you can earn on your first day. But it takes experience to do well in PPC. If you have a website, as it seemed like you do, you can try doing more with SEO to speed things up.

alike any business - it does take time. Affiliate programs are a numbers games - thus you have to get your numbers up (meaning traffic). This takes times as you site is one in ???? (how many billion sites on the web). Just stick to it and your efforts will pay off.

If your promoting with an affiliate network, make sure you ask the network what they're 'net payment structure is' some are 60, 30 or 15. along with that, some won't payout unless the thresh-hold is met. most affiliate networks can payout at $100. and a decent network will be Net 15 on payments, which means on the 15th of the month, you will receive payments for the prior months earnings. depends on what your affiliate program offers. Some offer a set day limit (cuts checks at the end of the next billing month). Some cut a check once you hit a certain ammount within a time limit. and some are just plain crappy and require you to hit a certain ammount before they cut you a check.

I got mine in a month. How soon you get your income really depends on

1. how fast and how much of traffic you can convert
2. payment methods of the affiliate programme itself
3. the duration of expediting the payment to reach your mailbox

Well, You are right! traffic and good program are two ways by which you get your 1st cheque soon.

I get paid always in the begining of month, if payments are longer that is annoying

I was paid s few days after request. But that is because the amount is small. It will be unreasonable if it will take them a month top send the payment.

it took me a little while at first, a few months, but it's rolling now

I made enough to receive it in 2 months, although I am waiting till it reaches $1000. Which will take me another few months.. just over a year in total... pretty lame but it's money...
