Hi all, i'm quite new to this forum and have been doing plenty of reading over the last week or so on the various topics. To all those of you who have made money from Affiliate Marketing - I take my hat off to you. Here is a bit about me and why I am here.

My name is Ben, i'm 22 and i've been designing and building websites since I was 16. I work for a webdesign company and of late have found myself frustrated that at my age, and with my career based on the web that I haven't yet utilised the world wide web for any money making purposes. So, after some research I looked into Affiliate Marketing.

I am very eager to put a lot of time in to this and realise that it will probably be a long and testing road, but one i'm looking forward to.

Being a webdesigner I am very up to speed with search engine optimisation and I know what types of Affiliate Marketing there are. I've got webhosting waiting on the sidelines too. I know most of the peices but I need someone to help show me where the peices go.

I am well aware that anyone reading this who makes good money from Affiliate Marketing is hardly going to want to part with their knowledge of how to start making money online. So I would like to know if there's something I could offer in exchange for someone helping me? Maybe SEO help, or even designing web pages for you?

What i'm looking for is not just someone to give me all the answers. I'm looking for someone who I can work closely with, hopefully bringing my own value and skills to the table.

If anyone out there can give me any advice at all then that would be invaluable to me. If you feel we could work well together in one way or another, please contact me.

Most of the people are not aware of the Affiliate Marketing, and if you have any clarifications regarding this can feel free to contact.

There are so many scripts out there related to affiliate marketing, I don't know why you just don't grab one to play with ( since you are willing to learn ) unless you are unfamiliar with scripting? Once you get a better idea of what you want, then post back with more details.

Affiliate programs are ways of making money on the Internet without ever creating or selling your own product. Hundreds of sites offer various types of affiliate programs. Most work as simply as this: you offer a link to an e-commerce site on your own Web site and when someone buys a product or registers after following that link, you receive a commission.

Actually I choose affiliate based on:
1. The reputation and popularity of the product and company
2. The commission structure.
3. Relevancy of product with my blogs.
4. The terms and conditions of the affiliates

If you’re unsure about which program to join, there are some very popular programs that have big name recognition and a broad appeal on the Internet like i joined.

I started affiliate marketing when I was about your age. I am now 32, married, and own a 250k home (with mortgage unfortunately). I have been in the shoes of the affiliate, the merchant, the program manager, and briefly worked for a network. I know what it takes to be successful online and would be willing to show you some principals and techniques which I learned from my experience.

What i ask in return is for some programming work. I can do basic php, mysql, and use desktop software (dreamweaver) for web design. I need some special customizations and designs done for some new ideas i have. I'll show you the info you want for some work (we would actually work together as I would instruct and explain at the same time).

Do you know what the one thing is that people ask me when I tell them what I do? They ask me "Why doesn't everyone just do that then"?

The problem is that I have offered this before and it seems that people get lazy and don't want to do the work necessary to be a player in their industry. When the money is not yet flowing in you still have to do the necessary "work" and get through the "work" so it will pay off. Did you catch the part about work?

PM me if you are interested. If you get frustrated easily or don't have the staying power for a 3-6 month commitment then find another website to design for someone every month and you'll make more money in the long run.

There are many guys who are now into coaching and they train guys who are new to affiliate marketing. Guys like Jeremy Palmer, Amit mehta have started their training programs . You can google their names to find more about their programs.
