Many online businesses use agents/ called affiliates.
The company will usually supply you with a doorway page the same as there main site.
Anyone who join their program from that doorway page, your affiliate site, you get paid a percentage of the sales.
You also will get a log in page to see how much money you have earned and also the traffic you sent and also the terms and conditions and rules for being their affiliate.
Some affiliate programs are free to join and others you may have to pay.
I have made over $50,000 usd by being a free affiliate agent for a Singles Company.
I have also made thousands of dollars being an agent for an affiliate lotto site. I paid to join that program but have made 20 times what I initially paid out.
When being an affiliate you can also go though third party affiliate companies like Commission Junction so you can join many affiliate sites and be an agent without having to complete application forms all the time.
However this is not a good idea as you only earn small commissions.
It will cost you money to advertise your affiliate site so you won't make any money unless the program you join pays you over 50% of the money the product or service sells for.
Usually when you make money online you will have to spend 20% at least of what you make on advertising. Then you have your overheads, paying for internet access bandwidth etc.
Affiliate sites are a great way to learn to make money online.
If you built your own web page business site and it cost you $5000 you, then would have to spend $50,000 to get enough advertising and traffic to make it pay.
If you promote an affiliate business and fail you will not loose much money.
If you promote an affiliate business and make good money, later you could start your own online business where you get to keep 100% of the money paid to that business.
