Making money is easy in this market once you know how.
But its the technical stuff that bothers me.
I would dearly love to know how to build a website for free.
My son has built all my websites to date and I am getting embarrassed to ask him to do more. So I have looked at 1and1.com and Freewebs. Is there anything else out there?

I cut my teeth on the free Lycos/Tripod websites. The free version has some ads, and I'm not really fond of the way their site-building tools format the page. However, having that account has been a real learning experience for me, allowing me to do all sorts of things with html, add-ons, etc. Now I'm able to build a file from scratch with an html editor and simply post the files, but the road to learn to do it was worthwhile and satisfying.

So I recommend the Lycos/Tripod free package, and the low cost packages are good deals, too.

Yeah ebay is great, but it's too old school, who wants to handle inventory and deal with customers?!?!

Don't you have to make a lot of sales on eBay to make any decent income because the commissions are so low?

I guess if you sell items that auction at thousands of dollars you will do well but isn't there SO much competition for the big ticket items?

I don't think making money online is easy, never really made any substantial money on the web, not even enough for a cup of coffee a day.

Are you making money from ebay? How about you share some real advice here on this forum rather than plug your own page.

I agree with the above poster. If you have some tips to help the people on this forum earn, why don't you share them? I'm sure people would be ecstatic to get advice from someone who is actually successful in a particular market.
