What have affiliate programs done for your business?

Im just wondering what you alls experiences are with running an affiliate program, as a publisher.
Im thinking of starting one, but would like to hear what others experiences are.

My company has had a very successful affilate program for two years now. I can think of a better job nor a better way to make money. Good company Good affiliates. Anyone else have a good story

When we work as a a affilater we can earn extra money with main site. What we have to do is promoting some good or service.

My personal experience utilizing an Affiliate Program is currently very positive.

I am involved in the Cagora Project and last year I earned and got in my pocket $11,550 commissions for several sales made.

I can give the proof immediately , to see and watch the commission invoice/report for year 2007 plese PM me or ask for it ( still do not have enough posts here in the forum to post urls ).

Serious Companies or Groups or other Organizations are present on the web but it is hard to find.

I have found my online business of the future.

Total no-brainer - GET AN AFFILIATE PROGRAM wrapped around your product or service asap! I will recommend:

* Do not go 'in-house'
* Do not go with anyone that asks you to be exclusive
* If it's a digital product or service (i.e. membership site) use ClickBank or PayDotCom
* Hire someone/firm to create you a TOP LEVER Affiliate Marketing Resource Centre (all your marketing arsenol for aff's - banners, ppc templates, landing pages, graphics, articles etc).
* Do a big launch for it - day one in aff campaigns are important for recruitment.
* Offer as HIGH of a commission as you can to attract heavy hitters to run your offers.
* If you have your own payment gateway already - explore CPA networks i.e. hydra, clickbooth etc. on top of your aff efforts.
* If you are lost in the field - hire help/consultants that will postition you in the market with a conversion mastered program.
