I can assure you that there are plenty of marketers on the Internet who are making money selling both Internet marketing related products and any number of non-related items. The reason companies like Amazon and eBay are online is because there is a significant amount of money to be made selling things on the Internet. This is just as true for individual marketers such as you or me, as it is for the "big guys."

That is not to say that marketing is easy or that the money will come rolling in to your pockets with little thought or creativity. Marketing is a skill that you must learn and develop. That is true whether you are marketing in the online or off-line world.

If you are serious about running a marketing business you will take the time and make the effort to learn how to be as ineffective marketer as you possibly can.

It's all about putting in the time and doing the work. Most people don't want to put in the time necessary to be succesful.

im not good in affiliate but of course a lot of my friend make more money from this income stream. A good effort and consistent will help you make more than your expectation.

Affiliate marketing work for some people. In fact, we see people setup a whole company just to do affiliate marketing website.

However, for starter (or newbie), I will say do not bet the whole house on it (ie, quit your day job and hope affiliate marketing is the answer without knowing what you are doing). Just learn as much as you can and try out many things. Some work and some don't.

So, start a blog, write a lot of good contents and do some SEO. Then make some money from adsense and may be insert some affiliate marketing article in your blog. Once you feel more comfortable about the whole idea and learn more, then spin off couple projects for more target affiliate marketing product and more SEO.

Personally I have been tempted by lots of things on the web which claim to make you rich quick, but I've never gone so far as to pay for anything (except adwords), as I think if you have to pay, you are just making money for someone else. Whenever I see a new Aff. scheme or similar mentioned I google it for scam reports, personal opinions in forums etc - almost everything out there is a rip-off.

On the other hand, I think you can earn if you stick with reputable companies. I make a few quid from adsense, amazon and tradedoubler (pence, really).

But I make the most money off my own products on my own site - I sell worksheets for music theory students which I wrote myself. The hard work that has gone into creating the worksheets is over, and now I just sit back and people buy. I think it's better to sell your own products than to scrape 5% here and there off other companies' sales. Just my personal opinion - as i like to spend my time absorbed in something which really interests me rather than promoting someone else's stuff.

I don't have a lot to sell, and I charge really low prices, but my ROI is infintessimal since it costs me nothing to create the worksheets. (It takes time, software which I've already got, internet connection which I would have anyway...)

Yes, there are many who are making money online but most of them are self claimed gurus selling ebooks and hope.

i do but not millions yet! lol
i have a site and a blog i promote with some affiliate links on it and have been making money off that not alot but a noticable amount but only because i put work into it.
i make money from affiliates and from products i sell online like ebooks
theres so many ways but its all time and knowhow

I do earn money on the net. Not big.. I promote some CPA offers.

of course. I setup my first affliate website 2 month before. My first month earn $20, the second I get $100. I belive I'll get more in the furture. you too!
