Being an affiliate, I mean. At first, I honestly started with Myspace, and I made 3k in 2 weeks. That was pretty exciting and encouraging. I suddenly saw myself making this much per day within a year.

I thought to myself...I'll use a few hundred dollars from these first few myspace checks and put it into real advertising. That way I wont be spamming anymore, and I'll be making an honest, STEADY living.

To sum it up, I've lost probably $600 to advertising that DIDN'T pay off. Now myspace is cracking down and I'm not making enough to keep trying different things...just enough to pay the bills.

I want this SO bad. I need help. I KNOW there are people out there who make a killing...you have secrets that work for you. WHAT do you advertise? WHERE and HOW do you advertise?

Please, PLEASE, I just had a daughter and I'm about to get married, I want this so bad, and I KNOW it's right there. I just don't know how to grab it.

Abandon myspace and build something. Don't do the analysis paralysis thing and spend all your time dicking around on forums and blogs. And don't expect someone else to hand you keys to the kingdom either.

The fact that you're upset about losing $600 tells me that either you haven't been trying long enough or you don't have a high enough tolerance for loss to test, try and experiment your way to the top. $600 is NOTHING in internet advertising, and it's only a loss if you don't get anything (including experience and knowledge) from spending it.

We all want the internet lifestyle, but we don't all get to have it.

That makes a lot of sense. I never looked at it that way.
