I'm no newbie, but I have a friend entering the business. I just wondered if you could suggest a sponsor program that might be good for a newbie (one with weekly or bi-weekly payouts, prefered). I was thinking something that pays on email signups. What he needs, I think, is to see that it really is possible for him to earn online. Once he sees that, he'll be motivated to dedicate more time to it.

I belong to plenty of affiliate networks. Unless you are a big player expect monthly payments.

I think you are looking for CPA affiliate networks here. They pay on email signup, but many of them do not pay weekly or fortnightly unless you are generating a good amount of leads or earning some good money, either way.

There are tons of interesting "signup" affiliate programs out there. I find the programs listed at associateprograms(dot)com interesting and easy to promote.

try a seach for "signup" in the search box (select "Search Affiliate Programs" from the drop-down)

Associate Programs is using the free phpbb script for his forums. lol

That's not the best script to use, but better than nothing I guess.
