I just signed up on clickbank and I wondering about a few things.
Those "hoplinks" they use. Isn't there a better way to create a link? Can I just create some kind of graphic instead? Or should I be going to the publishers site directly and getting something from them?

And, does anyone have any experience using clickbank on myspace?

Click Bank Links can be generated easily.
-Go to the market place
-Select the Niche You like
-Click on "Hop Link" and enter your Click Bank ID

Your Link will be recreated for you.

I know, but that's the part about it I don't like. The links are sooo nondescript. Isn't there a way to generate an image to click on? Don't the advertisers want pictures of what they're selling?
For example, this:

DISCOUNT Ipod

Looks more appealing than
DISCOUNT Ipod!

Yea, you can put that hoplink in any form you wish, you aren't restricted to using it their way at all.

You just use the yourID.merchantID.hop.clickbank.net
format as you would any other link, it tracks it very well actually.

Hope I was some help!

I dont know much about clickbanks, but I used to run a gaming site that used it. I found page exchanges to work better for that site. Hope it helps!

you have to be caareful with clickbank, if you can copy the right hoplink, you won't get paid your commissions!!! So don't take it lightly. Also remember if you ever forget your nickname, all your earnings are gone!!!

I'm currently getting started with selling my product with ClickBank. I will be offering a special "Affiliate" page on my website that will offer graphics, banners, etc. for affiliates to use.

Good plan, Wealthpals - you'll be in the minority of Clickbank publishers that offer an affiliate support hub for their product.

Personally, I seldom promote a Clickbank product which doesn't include affiliate support - it's the first thing I look for when deciding on products to sell.

Great. And I don't mean to steal the thread, but if any clickbank affiliates have any suggestions of other ways I can make it easier for you, please let me know!
My product will be $200 with $50 commission. I'm definitely going to make it worth your time.

Here's what it important to me when it comes to Clickbank affiliate support:

1) Reviews of the product - write a couple of reviews that I can utilize on my landing page.

2) Articles about your product's topic - at least 5 articles that I can program into an autoresponder to touch potential customers over a period of time.

3) Brandable PDFs - A "Free Report" or "Free Course" that I can offer as an incentive to signup to the autoresponder on my landing page.

4) Imagery - Box/Book photos, before and afters (if applicable), photos of author, banners, buttons, etc.

5) Testimonials - testimonials not included on the product site are the best, even more sales reinforcement.

Wealthpals - be certain to let me know when your product is released - sounds promising.

You can also use php and redirect headers so that it hides the link. That is what a few people do.

So you use something like

mysite.com/tracking.php?linkid=5

and once clicked it will then try to go to the tracking.php page but then it will just redirect to the advertisers page as in the tracking.php will be the redirect header script.

I'm just kind of getting fed up with Clickbank. The fact that they allow refunds up to 3 MONTHS after purchase is freaking rediculous. Between chargebacks and allowance, I'm getting a lot taken out of my checks.
