I was wondering, I'm kind of new to affiliate marketing.. can you sell your commissions? Like say for example you someone pays you 10 dollars to get a 50 dollar commission from their purchase.
It would be like turning 10 dollars into 50 for them, and would give them even further incentive to buy through your link. Yes, you only get the 10 dollars, but I'm wondering if the incentive would actually result in more sales actually averaging out the income you would receive overall. ie. you make 5 sales for 10 dollars each, instead of 1 sale for a 50 dollar commission.
I mean it sounds ok if I could pull it off (seems to me I'd need some sort of tracking software or something, suggestions?)..
My own thought to be why you couldn't do it would be taxes. How would the government treat that? For instance, if commission junction reports you had $2,000 in commissions paid to you, but you didn't get that 2K because you had to pay it out.. would you still have to pay taxes on the 2k?
... or would you only have to pay taxes on the $10 you got for selling you commission?
Does anyone have any thoughts on this, particularly the concern about the taxes?
Thanks!
