Amazon recently introduced our own "online shops" program called aStore. I've set up my virtual store here: Ashwin’s Romance Movie Store

Anyone tried it? It seems a concept as you really don't use/waste your web page space in putting put banners. Just a small text link will do wonders if you have a niche that is suitable for aStore.

I recently blogged about it here: Amazon's aStore - How good is it?

Hi there,

I joined Amazon yesterday just to try it.
Built an Internet Marketing book store in about 2 minutes.

5 Star Internet Marketing Book Store

The COOL thing is when you embed it INTO your site, which I haven't gotten around to yet.

John over at DuctTapeMarketing integrated his store into his site using an iFrame and links to an article showing you how. VERY slick! When I 1st saw it, I was expected clicking "add to cart" to take me off his site to Amazon, but by using the iframe it would look to a consumer as if you were buying from his site.

John's blog about how to do embed it into your site:

Hope this helps and best of luck!

IF the store is in an iframe does the transaction go through securely

I got as far as the 'enter your card details' without seeing any https or nice padlock symbol.

Good point scoby

I embedded my test store over the weekend and just blogged some tips to help make the aStore more successful including covering your concern about security.

Hope this helps and have fun building your aStores.

Are there any benefits to aStore over a normal integration?
