You know all these sites on the internet catering to dumb people... where their is a guy who claims he is rich because he figured out some perfect technique to make money on the internet and then dumb people keep reading the sales pitch and keep believing it more and more and at the bottom it says that he'll sell you his secrets for only $49.99...that was just an example but theres a lot of those sites out there (ie. rich jerk dot com)

anyways, my question is, do these people actually make money and what do they give you once you pay up? obviously im not stupid enough to fall for it but im still curious cuz theres a lot of em out there

Most people won't make money with those affiliate, pre-made sites. Too much competition and you don't have anything unique to offer. If you want to make money from an affilaite website you need to make some special deals with good affiliates, i.e. work out something with an offline store or a site that doesn't normally do affiliate programs.

Hi,

These affiliate sites DO work but it's a lot of hard work!

I'm starting to make money after about 6 weeks of promoting and learning about my programs.

They aren't a quick route to a fortune but they can work with perseverance.

Scepticism is healthy but you also need all the facts too ;-)

Cheers.

None of the affiliate sites work if you don't put in the time & effort to make them work. Yes, I know that there is alot of scams out there, but you will just have to investigate whatever catches your attention.

Just my 2 cents.

Why do you assume they're ALL "scams"? Depends where you've been getting your information from.

I tend to think that these days .. the only way these people are getting rich is by us "surfers" buying their products .. which is making them rich.

Most of the hardcore promoted information products are just that, how to earn money online. However there are some good ones out there, Perry Marshells Adwords book is great.

Yes, I'm pretty sure those guys make money.... people do buy their "programmes" and "systems". and their systems can work.... but it takes time and effort.. it's not as easy as some of them initially make out.. eventhough I've seen some of them actually tell you straight off that it takes lots of hard work...

check out the blog in my signature... follow the links in some of the earlier posts... you may even want to sign up with one or two of them...

When the California gold rush happened the only people who made fortunes were the ones who were selling items to the people who were going to look for gold. They sold them pots, pans and gold finding tools. In the end, the gold diggers were broke and poor but the people who were selling the gold finding tools were extremely rich

I kinda belief that many a times the word "scam" has been used loosely by the very people who are looking for a "get rich quick" program...not realising that theres hardly such schemes in this world these days.

The minute they don't get their immediate gratification, the business will be labeled as "SCAM"

Im getting tired of these stupid adsense and adwords gurus. Too much hype.

A typical ebook salesletter reads like:

""1-year-old discovers adwords marketing system earns $45,900 a month in his crib doing absolutely nothing!!1!!1111!!"

Google cash is another one of these hype ebooks. The only one making google cash is who ever sells the ebook

Yep I agree, needs hard work and perserverence, even though the ads keep on saying easy and quick, but that is just not the case
however it is true that the sky is the limit

Additional Points about Rich Jerk: He's a jerk, don't buy the book, bought it once and regret it for a month...

EDIT: Why he is a jerk? Because every single technique in the book is so common. He just compile these easy to find info in his book without any "secret" tip to give out.

racdyn, it's not the sky is the limit but our self-imposed limit coz we already reach the sky...

Hi All,

I'm a newbie, but I think a lot of these people do make a lot of money. However, I fear that copying them slavishly is not a guarantee of equal success!

The experts say that you must 'find a hungry crowd', and we newbies are part of that crowd - so the experts do very nicely out of us.

We can learn a lot about techniques and methods from these guys, so we do get what we have paid for - but I think we need to broaden our horizons to find different 'hungry crowds'!

Colin.

Of course they make money with their affiliate sites!

The fact is, only 5% who sign up for them ever become rich, but it is NOT usually because of the program! It is because the 'buyer' never gets past step two in a 200 step process. ALL businesses take time and effort to build. By the way, 5% is a very large number so don’t think for a second that you can not be in that group!

Basically, if you get involved in ANY business thinking it will be simple, the joke is on you! However, even the simplest of minds are capable of great things!

It doesn’t really matter what program you get involved with. It is possible to create wealth from all of them!

I say that because there are all kinds of people on this planet and the Internet is still growing like crazy. There will always be 'newbies' and there will always be 'gurus' and everything in between. Simply put, there is almost no way NOT to make money if you possess one simple trait... perseverance. With perseverance comes knowledge, with knowledge comes power, and with power comes wealth.

Just don't blow your wad in one shot. Find a program that you think you can stay active with physically, mentally, and financially. Never give up and never listen to negative people! Garbage in… garbage out!

Keep in mind, even the ‘gurus’ started out as ‘newbies’!

All in all, there is so much that can be learned from affiliate sites and other such programs. Compared to a college education or a ‘brick and mortar’ franchise - $49 is nothing! I myself have literally spent hundreds on such programs and I don’t regret a thing!

Before all the parents get mad at me… I don’t discourage college! Kids – go to college! There is more to college than book learning even though that can be very beneficial too. ;-) You can not get that unique life experience from anywhere else!

Back to the subject… relatively speaking, there really are few ‘scams’ on the internet. Even if you are gullible enough to fall for a real stinky scam – you still learned something and that in of itself is worth something! Do not be afraid to make mistakes! That will only hold you back.

Again, one of my favorite quotes:

“Those who have not achieved success, simply haven’t made enough mistakes.” - Robert Keowlasky

To Success,

Ben

Hi, Im new to this forum, but I figured I would put in my 2 cents.

Unfortunatly there are far to many people out there that get caught up in the "quick and easy" methods of making money on the internet. There truely is no such thing, all money takes alot of hard work and determination to make. And of course with all that hard work and determination, usually comes with some good pay off.

I used to be one of those people who wanted the easy road to riches, of course over time I did learn that it just doesnt happen that way. So a good way is to "copy" someone who is making some good money on the internet, and keep with it like they did, until you start seeing some results, and then buckle down, and keep doing it.

The best internet marketers always use some kind of "HYPE" to sell their products or to get people to sign up to their programs. Hype is not a bad thing though, as long as you dont get totally caught up in it, and lose yourself completely, and do some stupid things, like spend loads of money on something before you gathered info on it.

HYPE is just a selling tool that 99% of most sales people use. Just see past the hype and make sure whatever you are getting into is for real or not.

I have had too much personal experience with "BAD HYPE", and I have learned for it.
What I have learned is to have patience and buckle down and just keep doing it. If what tou are doing, is not working, then find out why, fix it(change it), and keep at it, until you have tweeked it to the point where that money is coming in that you want.

Thanks for Listening.

Jeff
