For a site of mine, I will be interviewing Gerard Doyle of 'DarkBlue.com'. DarkBlue is like Commission Junction and ShareASale, except that right now, they are only eslling stuff for sites their parent company also owns - Roar.com, a gambling site, and BattleBots.

Anyway, I am looking towards my fellow forum members in helping me ask this interview. I already have a collection of questions, but asking for more wont hurt anybody.

Just post a reply with whatever you would want to know from DarkBlue specifically, or even from someone in the advertising business.

A couple of questions:

• What will differentiate Dark Blue from the other affiliate sites?
• What types of programs do they have? (Pay per lead, click, impressions, etc.)
• What are the requirements for becoming an affiliate?

There's a couple that come to mind right away.

* with most affiliate companies the affiliate company gives too much power to the merchant/advertiser (ie. cancel sale payments etc)
what steps will you be taking to ensure that both the affiliate and the merchant are treated the same?

* Will you be providing a place for merchants and affiliates to discuss matters - eg a forum

* Affiliates are sometimes reluctant to go with new or untested affiliate networks. What steps will you be taking to encourage the webmaster to join your affiliate program and what will ease their feelings that this, like any other new affiliate company, could be a scam?
