Commission Junction and Amazon are a couple of reliable Affiliate's

The links below are for advertising networks that IMHO give a far better return than Affiliate programs.

For serving text (and image) ad's on your site there'sGoogle Adsense

A couple of other text ad providers are SearchFeed and RevenuePilot.

For serving Banner ad's on your site there's Fastclick, Burst!Media and Tribal Fusion

You can find quite a few good programs at http://www.affiliateseeking.com/

These include CPM programs, CPC programs, PPC Search Engines, and more.

Has any advertiser ever contact you? The fastest is still Google Adsense. But first you need visitors - the more the better. The more visitors you have, the higher the chance of success. If you don't have enough visitors, even good affiliate programs would not bring in much.

As far as the question of what’s the "best" affiliate program - well that's a big question but the answer can be defined by YOU!

1) What is your current site about and who are your visitors? What are they interested in? Find products and services that will appeal to them and THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX! For instance if you have a site about travel, don't just promote hotel and airline affiliate programs, add travel insurance, Amazon books about travel and Luggage.

2) What are you passionate about??? What do you know a lot about? If you can find an affiliate programs that tie into your interests or hobbies you will be ahead of the game!!! WHY? Because it can take some time to generate income and if it's something you are interested in it will give you the incentive to keep building more pages PLUS you can add valuable content to your site based on your knowledge of the subject.

Now to answer the question “What is the best affiliate program?” Well, it depends and as you can see there is no easy answer, but I hope I have given you some guidelines and tips to ponder. If you would like to see some of the high paying, high integrity affiliate programs that I have chosen to consult for and tie my good reputation to, check out my 5 Star Affiliate Programs and see if any of them are a good fit for you. Some are cutting checks for over $10K a month.

Best of Luck!

Hi,

Could you please give me an average of how much you roughly earn from Mamma on every 1000 impressions from a banner ad.

The reasons why I ask this is because they have contacted me wanting me to go in partnership with their company.

I have tried asking them for a rough idea, but they said that they pay different amounts depending on the ads, where visitors live, etc.

So then they said the best thing for me to do is to just signup and try it out for a day or two.

The only problem is that trying something out for a day or two takes up time. For example, I will have to signup, get the banner code, go direcly to every page of my site, add the code to my site, monitor the statistics, etc.

It all takes time, so I would prefer to know roughly before I sign up to see roughly how much they pay.
