Most affiliate marketers fail for different reasons.Here are some reasons from me.

-dont have enough knowledge
-dont focus on single and play with multiple
-dont know how to market a product
-dont know how to build relationships with existing customers and turn them into regular and long term customers.
-dont like to work hard

I hope expert affiliate marketers will add more reasons.

Those are enough to insure failure.....
But you can add ...fail to take action
and...expect quick success......

I bet everyone( in general) does like easy and quick way to get rich here without sweating it out or even investing a dime; of which of course can lead to failure and everything.

Definitely good, I do make money but not enough to quit my day job yet, I have been trying to focus on developing several of those exact things there so I can achieve that goal .

I also think relevancy is important like select product>relevant blog>relevant articles >relevant places of promotion to get success in affiliate marketing.

I think a lot of the time people expect to be successful online immediately. But that's ridiculous, especially the learning curve that's involved. People think that all they have to do is build a website, and people will come and give them lots of money.{Insert laugh here}.

A lot of people have analysis paralysis, too. I know that I did. I had so much information coming at me from all directions, I didn't know what steps to take next. Then I figured out that the next step to take... was the next step. I know that that sounds strange, but a lot of the time, things are much simpler then we make them.

Most fail because they expect to make money overnight, which unless you're genuinely gifted/clever in implementation, isn't virtually possible. Marketing online, i.e. Affiliate Marketing, needs careful planning and execution for one to reap income from it, since if otherwise, you definitely wouldn't be able to get even a single profit.

Bad planning is also an issue. All the works should be planned properly not to loose faith in what you are doing. If you stop believing that you can make money over a long term, you won't make them.

Patience is the key condition in affiliate marketing, as money is not done by night.

it is half correct.for example,if 1000 people do this,5 people successful.it should be the same that google is a website and it gets nearly 10-20 million traffic, why other sites do not do the same.

You should constantly learn, experiment and analyse. If you really want to succeed in this business, you will succeed, just learn from those who have experience, participate in forums and don't give up!

A decent budget is a big part. You cant expect to make 5k-10k a month off 200.00 dollars to start with.

As most people said above it takes time.
Not everyone can get rich on the internet, someone has to buy things or pay for things for someone else to make money !
And as the saying goes its 10% skill and talent and 90% luck.
