CJ has been around for years, so definately not fake. In fact it was one of the original affiliate network sites.

As Chis said, if no-one buys...

You probably need to try different tactics while using cj.com

It is obvious that CJ is not a scam. Much traffic is valuable, but ROI is also important because you can only get paid from Affiliate programs when someone have purchased your goods.
So, don't worry about that. Do a detailed research and try to optimize your Landing Page to attract people to but the products. Good Luck!!!

Are you showing ads that are relative to the traffic base you have?

You must target your audience to make any money with CJ.

And I agree with all those who have said it is not a scam.

The most serious companies use cj.com for the affiliate programs, so I think they are legit. The particular company that you placed in your site, however, might be underreporting sales (I have heard unconfirmed rumors that such things happen), but cj is not to be blamed.

The number of traffic is good, but you need to figure out how much traffic is actually potential of buying those products. You need to work hard on catering potential customers to your site, in order to increase your earning.

Only few legit companies use Cj. But the company you are talking about might not be reporting its actual sales. So, one can’t blame Cj for that..

So I've been with CJ since 2005. I signed up with hundreds of affiliates, and placed their smartzone code on thousands of pages. From 2005-2010 I was providing them with 3,000,000 page impressions a year, 8000-10000 a day all from organic search engine traffic. .

At first checks were coming in rather steadily (always a low amount) Back then you only needed $25 to get a check. Then about 2 years ago the checks stopped. I somehow only accumulated $38.70 from 8,000,000 page impressions and 8000+ clicks since my last check.

To put how lame CJ is into perspective, from 2005-2010, I have made $50,000 some odd dollars from their competition that run on the exact same pages. I've made less than $300 from cj.com in those same years.

I let all of this ride because it would be a lot of work to remove all of their code from literally 3000 web pages. I let it ride because it cost me nothing to use... so I thought.

This is where the scam comes in. I logged in yesterday... and I noticed they charged me a fee of $10. I asked a question of their support and they that's because I had not had a sale in 6 months (Hard to believe, 1.3 million impressions in those 6 months) That's funny because in December my wife bought a "Letter from Santa" for the kiddo for Christmas. Where did that sale go? Googling CJ.com scam, I see that I am not alone.

I never even mentioned the sale yet, before I had a chance, they canceled my account (!!!) and said they were sending me a check for my remaining balance. GEE THANKS!!

So I am advising that people avoid CJ.com or to be very wary of their practices. I am only upset with myself for sharing my real estate and having their ads competing with links from removed that could have been making me real money.

I agree,CJ has been around for years..so saying it's fake is out of this world. I think you should do some other things for people to buy your products!

C.J. is well known for its reliability and quality network. I think you would thought once before making this bold statement. There are thousands of affiliates registered with Commission junction but that dosent mean that every single affiliate/ publisher will earn after registering.

It all depends on how good you are to make higher earnings through your affiliate business not on C.J.

C.J. is just a network or tool for affiliates to increase your earnings.

That's spot on, if you're getting 200+ visitors and no sales, you're either in a bad niche or you're not promoting relevant offers to your visitors.

my site isn't even ranking well, and with the few drips and drabs of visitors to my site I've managed to make £60 already in commission.

Frankly cj is amazing, they have a very big pool of merchants, and it means webmasters like myself don't have to sign up to individual merchants individually and try to break the minimum payout limit with each merchant. Someone whose just starting out like myself would have a tough time reaching these. I have all my affiliates on cj, for all my websites, it works very well for me.

sorry that's very hard to believe, I think you're probably a competitor and being a first time poster, it sounds very possible.
