I am glad that I found this portion of the forum, as I had never seen it before. I am a 19 year old internet marketer and full time college student at SUNY Binghamton (a sophomore in computer science & business). I created my first website when I was in 6th grade via pure HTML in notepad, I never actually attached it to a website but it did work with the Netscape browsers of the time.

I didn't return to my desire to create websites until the end of my first semester of college, approximately 9 months ago. Within this time I have been rapidly expanding my knowledge base of marketing knowledge in all fields, not just internet marketing. Along with this, I have written a book on the topic which I market via ClickBank.

As it stands I am now on track to make $12,000/year off my websites as they stand now but I do not consider this to be anywhere near enough. By the time I turn 21, I fully intend to be making over $50,000 a year part time via my websites, newsletter, and blog (normally I'd toss in a link but at the moment there is nothing but an empty theme) which I am now creating which bears my company name "Fourth Floor Marketing" as a dedication to the dorm from which I am running my business.

Follow your dreams and you will achieve, but most importantly put in the research upfront. My first month of affiliate marketing I made a total of $1.72 due to the amount of time I was spending on research and link building, as a result of my initial efforts I am now making far past this. Today alone I have made nearly $250 in profits from fully organic search engine traffic. Do not rush into things, think problems through, and do what you feel is right and you will find success

Good luck to all who venture into this field!

no no no no no

i did it like this

i believed the things you do

i crashed and burned 3 or 4 times first before i learned

even now it is doubtful i fully "know"

you have 12,000 a year
that's a pittance
it's wondrous to own it, but it's a pittance

so make it bigger

and don't spend money like a 19 to 20 year old

when i was 23 i made what you made, and i spent it like a 23 year old

bloody moron i was

no no no no no no

going on about it is bad

i only post on forums out of my weakness, one you share

vanity

no no no no no no no no no

don't do it

learn to BE A BASTARD

and take that 12,000 and ask yourself

are you making it from traffic?

are you spending 2,000 a year back on google advertising? no? why in god not?

and the other 10k, how are you making sure that it's not a gain which in 3 years is something you fondly recall having??

no no no no no non no non nonononono

i made more than you before i crashed and burned

but i'm back

nowadays i make money machines

my most reliable trusted permanent one now makes around 500 dollars a month - it requires zero labour; i have just taken a break from it because i am convinved that with another dose of work, lasting a few weeks, i can raise its level to 1000 dollars a month (still with no labour other than that dose of work for upgrading the money-machine)

i have many machines, none of them are reliable and profitable compared to that one, but they all have potential. failures are tried and disregarded, and that's how i have collected a bunch of successful money-machines, some of which need LOADS of advertising pumped into them to make me rich, others which are working round the clock, even now, doing AMAZINGLY in the middle of the recession - hell the worst days of this month for the city have made no mark on my profits in that machine. so it's a **** good machine. and it's permanent, hard to knock, and 1 major money source for me. the object of the game is to build 100s. and to never spend one thin dime.

advertising budget is lifeblood. it is the e-entrepreneur's equivalent of... let's see. something very vital to estate agents, marketing their property, in the pre-crash era. i.e. it is the advertising, the front. you HAVE to pour money into that. it comes back fast. the units of human commodity you buy (people, aka eyeballs, out here)

so that's why i promote the idea of using it with great force and in large amounts and why 2 months of spoiling yourself is far less important than putting that same dose of cash into buying 100s of new people to come to your site and MERELY make you richer

you better remember me for telling you this

you are so well armed to be bloody rich now

what am i doing? breeding competitors? what kind of a twisted maniac does that?

well. what i've said is true. i hope i'll pay more attention to it than anyone else.

right now my money machine is working and i have several secondary ones all of which have some degree of success

one is even a google-to-affiliate arbitrage system, nestled/couched inside an environment of pure 100% advertising of a site... thus meaning that it's not officially arbitrage - it's merely the case that using a fat advertising budget i could guarantee a shift in clicks to me, over a longer timeframe, including guaranteed repeat clicks, due to the structure of my site... thus it is 100% same as arbitrage because i can measure it exactly and make it spend in 1 month what it will make back in 6 and carry on returning for 60 months in total, so i make a pretty hefty ROI.

anyway.

to me now:

no no no no no no no non non nononononon nono no no no

what the ??£?£ am i doing?

i should keep my talent hidden

make loadsa bucks and let the world go and... watch satellite tv.

some say buy gold, others say put money in swiss bank account

i think that the answer is in that region. take your 12,000 a year and put 4,000 away in swiss account!!! dammit. that's what i will do. 6000 a year is what my main money machine makes, so far, so i should bloody well put 2,000 away dammit in a swiss account

you have opened my eyes

thanks

we are rare - people who can make 12,000 a year whilst just naive blind kids... when you have been shafted 20 or 30 times, you'll be a talented business shark

can i recommend please that you watch FUR TV an mtv europe production - look on youtube for it

it encapsulates the ethos of mofos like us - watch "puppets in da hood" - a good show, that.
