Has anyone here found the displacement filter useful?

I saw a tutorial on the net that shows you how to displace an image of the American flag according to a woman's face, then blend both images together to get the effect of the flag's image being projected on the woman's face.

No, the Displacement Filter is used to distort graphics. Check out Bert Monroy's FREE video tutorial on Displacement:

Thanks for the tutorials link, I downloaded and watched most of them. This guy is obviously a professional graphic designer with many years of experience.

One thing that interested me was the ascrrn and pen he was drawing with. What is that? I remember that in the early 90s a pen with a wire connected toit became popular, to draw you simply pressesd the pen against the CRT screen, but tis guy has a wireless pen coupled with a LCD/TFT screen.

Hi, I'm Bobbe and I'm new here. I've used the displacement filter to overlay the American Flag on a photo of my dog.

If you want, you can check it out at:

Wow, the picture of your dog with the US flag projected on it's head is amazing

I have read an online tutorial that shows how to get the above effect on a lay's face. It was'nt strieght forward, I can tell you that

Bobbe, it's obvious you really love your dogs, they are lucky to have you.
