Hi there,

would anyone be able to tell me how to achieve the effect seen on this image?

Ive seen this done loads of times on car websites where the image almost looks like a cartoon or drawing rather than a normal photo...

Cheers

Remove background and add shadow, slightly soften and that's all

I only see the drop shadow effect on this image.
Do you have any bigger resolution pic of this?

I think these type of pictures are taken with very good lighting. Probably in a studio made for photographing these kinds of things.
Aside from the lighting thing, it also looks like they softened the image somehow. I am not sure exactly what technique they used to soften it, but you can google something like "soften photos in photoshop". Maybe someone else can share how you soften photos??

looks like a black solid background that has been blurred a lot.

if u do use gausian blurr, you must duplicate the orig layer then do it and put it on a blending mode, and perhaps using layer mask and keeping only correct spots u want soften out.
