Hi guys:-)

I downloaded a couple of HTML templates to fiddle with....and I'm having serious problems! When I take them into Photoshop, all the slices are named wrong....so I can't actually replace any of the images without it getting all messed up!

Any suggestions?
:-(

Thanks!
Catherine

open the html page... move the cursor out of the way, take a screen shot (print screen button on windowz)

open photoshop, file > new, then hit enter

edit > paste and the screenshot will b there. crop it down to the website you want and re-slice it the way you want it to be done

Hey there!

Actually, the problem I am having is with the changing of the template....reslicing....and having the words go in the specific place. I can't possibly do this if the template is sliced one way in the HTML, and another way in the PSD version:-(

import it into Image ready by clicking the import button on the bottom of the tool bar. Then click on File/Output settings/ SLices and setup what you want to call your slices when the images are saved.

Also if you want you can RE-SLICE the image within image ready. Just select the slice tool and make your own slices. When you are done click File/Save then File/Save optimized/ or File/Update HTML.

The easiest way should be to clear in Image all the slices, and remake again the slices as you like!

Whenever i do a html in photoshop i always have to slice every part of it its takes forever. Is there a way to auto slice the layers or graphics. Someway? Ive looked all over phoneshot to see it there was such a button, like html ready or something and it would just put all my slices into a folder, if not, that would be a nice button to have after creating a psd file.

Thanks.

zz- it's best to spend the effort to hand-slice. Its important to look at the layout and slice it with html and compatibility in mind, something that an automation probably couldnt do.

Theres also a create slice from layer command; you could map that to a key combo...?
