Hi All,
This is my first thread on this forum so here goes.
I have three computers all running CS2, one 2000 os, two xp os.
All of the computers are filled with 2 gigs of ram, lots of scrach space on separate drives on each, and CS2 is configured the same on all systems.
On one of the systems (xp) when I open any image file (any format)
The "show scratch sizes" view in the image bar is excessively large!
The same 5.25 psd image on my other systems show:
scratch 80.2m/1.72g
This system shows:
scratch 581.6m/1.72g ?????
If anyone can suggest a fix I will stop pulling out my hair!
Thanks!
Frank

Is your systems virtual memory settings the same ? The Win2K system is likely different than the XPs. Do you have equal amounts of free disk space on all 3 machines ??

Hi LadynRed,
All of my systems have the page file for windows on a different partition on the HD and set to a static size of 5 gigs.
All of the computers photoshop scratch disc spaces are on different partitions than windows (C drive) or page file for windows (D drive).
This computer is XP. Also free space on this computer is huge ( over 200 gigs on each scratch disc partition.
The other 2 computers are Win 2000 pro and XP
All CS2's are set the same in preferences.

I'm Stumped!
Photoshop Glitch?

Thanks for the reply
HELP?
Frank

Possibly. Have you tried asking this on the Adobe PS forums ?

Hi LadynRed,
Yes I've tryed just about everywhere I can think of.
I'm still waiting for replys from most of them.
Also I went into the (preset manager) and deleted any things I do not use. I managed to save about 175 megs of scratch size in the image (410 meg. now). I did not have to do this on any of the other computers.
I also changed the view to efficiency to see if I was realy using that much ram. I AM, starting at 410 meg. in scratch(new number) the setting read 100% untill the scratch size exceeded the available ram.
Thanks Again,
Frank
