I was wondering now that we have this great new photoshop forum if any of you would want to have a photoshop contest every so often. It would go like this: Someone would post a picture of a car and then everyone would have a certain amount of days to post there chop of it. There would a judge or two.

And for those who dont know what a chop is look at these examples:

Would you limit it to cars? Or is that just an example? Actually, a photo could be submitted of just about anything (note the just part) and the participants could "go to it".

Seems like it could be a good way to show off your skills, but also help others learn more about PS.

I could possibly throw in some prizes for this as I own a website that sells software. If this gets rolling let me know. I will see what I can swing. I would love to see this, but I don't want to see just cars. Any picture will work.

Does it have to be done in Photoshop? Some of us are hard-core PSP users and we'd love the chance to take on Adobe head-on.....

Actually, I agree with Krynt...I think it's a good idea to have some sort of monthly image manipulation fun...but I think it should either go into Design - All the Rest, or Graphics Requests/Contests.

I think it should be a layout contest but you have to give them an image that they have to intergrate in the design. It would be good practice considering I have just started web design. You can look at my first attempt at http://www.p-lance.com/test I trust knowone will want to steal it considering its not that good

Rather than just doing a graphic contest, also do a layout contest. I think that anyone can use this that posts here. Since a lot of the people here are still working on their skills a layout contest would be a very good thing.

Colleen, Criper made a thread about this in the PhotoShop forum. Maybe you could help them put together some rules...
