Type tool in Photoshop??

I have CS 2 When I enter text onto a document, when I hit enter to start a new line mine goes back to center of same line I just typed and begins to type on top of that line.
Is anyone familar with this issue???
I appreciate any help! Thanks!

Check your settings in your type pallete, because it sounds like your leading is set to 0
