Tell me if you like this Logo :S

My friend made this for his business and I told him I could make better but he says everybody likes it that he shows including him... tell me what you think about it. Its a logo for a power washing business. Its super big but I dont really have time to make it smaller right now gotta go cya laterz.

Something needs to be done with the text, I don't like that part at all.
The light after the 'TEK'-part should become the focus, instead of this huge text.
I think your friend needs to concentrate on a real logo more and make the text a smaller -and more professional- side thing.

That 'light' isn't a light at all, it's the 'power wash' so it would be water

Actually, I rather like it. Text logos are very simple and very prevalent, so there's nothing wrong with text. It looks like blue 'pipes' and at the end the water is shooting out of it. Blue = 'water', so I think it works.

The only thing that I see is the "Inc" looks out of place and that solid shade of blue draws the eye.

I'd try something a little more Arialesque.

the font reminds me of jurassic park. Not that that's a bad thing. I like it. But I didn't at first.

I also think the "Inc." looks very out of place, and that the text is too big. In addition, I do not like the shade of blue chosen for the words. If they're supposed to represent pipes, it'll be more realistic if it was grey, it'd also draw out the water part more.

Grey text/pipes would be better! The water would then look like water. The text is Tooooooooo big. Cool idea, but the proportions are way off!

You could also add a small blue drip coming out of the end of the hose/pipe where the water spray is.

I noticed you replied to a few feedbacks explaining yourself and sticking up for your art.....that is nice and I would expect you to be passionate with your art work, but you asked for feedback and there is no better feedback than what you can get from someone you don't know or someone who is not afraid to be honest and possibly hurt your feelings.

FEEDBACK is priceless at this level!

i don't think it is very legible.

maybe if you could design one for him without him knowing then show him it. He might just like yours better if he can actually see an example. then again he could just be too set on having his own design

just a suggestion, maybe you might want to make the font a bit 'shorter'. Having tall font like that with a tube like illusion makes it difficult to read right off hand. It's interesting and has lots of potential, but I think it needs to represent Professional a little more to look nicer.

I don't know what everyone else is smoking; I like it.

It's very legible, and my only complaint is that it's initially difficult to ascertain that the cone is a water spray (and not a spotlight or something...).

It's a great logo, though.

I agree with a couple of the other posts: shortent the text and add another color (if even just a border). I think if they had to print this in black and white it would look pale and washed out.

i think the logo is pretty cool, but as someone else mentioned above the water pipe could be mistaken for a flash light which is what i thought it was first!

If the person you are designing the logo for likes it then nothing else really matters. : ) I rather like it, reminds me of 90s games.

I agree with making the "pipes" silver/grey. I think it would be easier to associate the blue as being water. I never would have guessed this was for a power washing company. The only thing that may suggest that would be the nosel, but I wouldn't say it's very convincing. I'd suggest spending more time on that aspect. Maybe the line going through TEK could be actually be the power neck and nosel. I know that was the idea, but I don't think the nosel being placed behind represents that. I also agree with the other posts regarding the inc. Something's got to be done with that. I think the size of it, relative to the rest of the text, works but the texture does not. I think the concept is definetly there, but it's just not quite pollished. Hopefully one of my suggestions helped, as it is, it's just my opinion.
