If you go to http://www.php.net/download-logos.php, their first logo is in .EPS format. Anway, if you were to open that up in photoshop, it will ask you how big you want it to be. I have a logo in vecter format (and some text). Is it possible to do the same? Are there more efficent ways of making this stuff scaleable to anything, without shifting positions a little. Cause, for example, if I take transform tool to make the logo smaller or larger, the text in my logo will not be placed exactly in the same place it was. Suggestions?

Thanks,
Micah

What vector format do you have it in? EPS is a vector format, SVG is a vector format, CDR (corelDRAW) is a vector format....

With regards your text, is it possible to convert the pieces of the logo into separate layers in photoshop so you can reposition them if you want?

I don't know what format it is in. I just used the pen tool and it is saved in a .PSD file. Also, the text is in different layers. One layer per letter. I suppose I could move things around, but then it wouldn't be exactly the same as if I scaled it to 500% and moved the letters around there, if you know what I mean.

Then it's in photoshop format. The newer versions of Photoshop can include both vector and non-vector elements in their files. Depending how you drew the objects, they may or may not be vector based.

Have you tried combining the letters into one layer and scaling that?

If you really want to work with vector graphics, Photoshop isn't the best tool for the job. Something like Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW are more what you need. They save to their own formats but can export to SVG, EPS etc...
