Hi all!

introduction:
Let’s say that photos are scanned by someone else, and I have the job to edit and cut the images.

Problem:
Id like to fix those “balls” of colours that are visible on a picture at hig res after been scanned from a big picture.

my method:
I usually do the following things:
Image -> adjustments ->
(Auto) levels
(Auto) contrast
(Auto) color

Then in filter:
Sharpen -> sharpen

(But it depends on the scanned picture)

Question:
Can someone give a short tutorial from the most common things you have to do with scanned photos so it’s less noticeable that the picture has been scanned or just to retouch?(using Photoshop cs2)

I hope I was clear enough :S lol
thnx in advanced!

Oh I see. For that you can simply use the eyedropper tool to get the background color or the color than you want the "ball" to be then use your brush to go over it. Simple enough?

That's the effect of halftone printing. Try fiddling with Blur filters to soften the image into flatter colours. Smart Blur is very effective.
