Hey this will seem like a ridiculus question to most people, but if you dont know you gotta ask right?

i want to draw a curved line. How do i do it? lol, i've tried with the Pen tool but it's hard to get the curature the same on both sides. I know there will be a tool for doing it but i dont know what it is..... *shakes head*

Also, is there a filter in photoshop to get photos to look "vector-like" if you know what i mean? So that solid, single colours are used but highlights of a lighter colour are used in certain areas to give depth etc. Something like the attachment.

Cheers, your help is appreciated

In Photoshop 7:

Select Your Line Tool.
Select Paths (second icon on toolbar)
Draw Your Line
Select The Add Anchor Point Tool
Put The Anchor Point Where You Want the Curve
Select the Move Tool
Select Edit(alt + e) -> Select Transform -> Select Scale

There you go. Works when I try it.

As for 'vector like' effects, try adding some unique layer styles to your object.

You could also use the eliptical selection tool.

Create a circle fill it with a colour, then draw another circle with the selection toon and press delete!

note: this is also an easy way to make rounded corners!
