Hi There,

I have been wondering if there are any good export features in PS CS or image ready. I have bought some templates that are in psd format and when i open them in PS all the text it editable, but when i export it all appears as graphics and not readable text.

The pre-exported pages that came with template have editable text and have had images separately exported and re-laid over background images and the background images have been sliced to 1 pixel and set to repeat.

By looking at the code it appears that this has been done automatically but i have read help files and cannot find out how to do this.

Cab anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks

File>Save for Web.

This will produce a table layout in HTML with all the images in a /images/ directory. It will produce an index.htm page which you can double click to load in your browser to see what its done.

However, it wont set background colours or patterns, you'll need to learn a little HTML in order to do that.

When you first click File>Save for Web you get a new screen in PS where you set the quality level and type of file you want all the images to be. Select them one by one and check they are ok. i.e. a small limited colour image in the webpage can be a gif, and a more colourful one can be saved as a jpg.
