Is this "Unprofessional"?

I have owned and operated www.DeanIrwin.com for many years now and about 3 years I have decided to make a girl look all "sexy" but with a clean look. Since then I kinda used it for my logo. I don't really use my website for anything other than the e-mail address it carries and all the clients that are hosted on the server. Speaking of clients, that’s what I do... Website design and so forth. So in other words the stuff i want to show - is the stuff I want to have a "Professional Look" to it.

I have recently ran into a few people that wanted a business card but I was unable to give them one because i never gotten the time to make one. So here I am making one, but what to display on the card is another thing. So this is where my question comes in...
Does the girl and the logo "DeanIrwin.com" look to - Unprofessional or does it look artistic and creative?

Here is the basic idea i have for the card so far: http://www.deanirwin.com/card.jpg

do you own the rights to the photo? and no i dont think it is exactly professional unless you are a photographer/agent/porn/model/etc.

Sorry, I don't think that would be a professional image for webdesign either....I agree with monkey - maybe for a photographer/agent, etc.

The question you should be asking is, "Is it relevant to the purpose of the site?" If you have a classy lingerie site, this IS a professional photo. Unfortunately, that’s not the type of business you have.

Professional is important, but relevance is the difference between you looking like you know what you are doing and looking like a dirty old man. ;-)

I completely disagree with the comments that the photo is "pornographic", but I do think the card is better suited for a photographer/artist type person. The question is what would replace it, make it look more like "Hey, I'm a web designer" than "Hey, wanna do a photo shoot?"

I like the photo, that's not porn-like for me.....maybe lake it brighter a lot and it'll be more professional

you have to change the font in your website to be prof and to have a good header (actually you're carrying a 5 minutes photoshop work in the header) and the header is really important....you've to impress the visitor, at a glance he has to say: ****....this guy rocks!

I can't say anything related to the card as I have no experience

I don't think their is anything wrong with putting that on a page. It looks very artistic, it's edgy, I like it. As long as you didn't pull the picture from a copyrighted source you're alright. Of course, it's not really relevant to the site you have is it?

If you didn't take the photo, don't use it. Although, If you wanted to use it, why don't you manipulate it in photoshop, put your touch to it. Make it a little different, using your own artwork eliminates the worry for photo rights. You're trying to sell your talent, not someone elses photography.

If the image is used on your site which it is, then it might be a good idea to use the same images on your business card. I don't think it looks that bad, but I do agree with a couple of the posts above. Try and change the picture slightly ie. brighter(angelic) or more transparent so that the picture is not so heavy

I like it... people will read into it according to where they've been. I think, like one other post said, that if it is on the website, put it on the card (if it is your pic); I think it shows a beautiful picture of a classy woman and what you did with it, that's it!

It's not pornographic, but it's not web design either.
As already said above, I can imagine seeing an image like that on a photographers site, but not a web designers site.
