Hi- I'm trying to justify a selection in photshop 6.0, but everytime I try, the justify button grays out on me.... do you guys have any suggestions?

I am trying to creat a large brochure and need the type to be justified- Newspaper style.

Any help is appreciated!

photoshop is the wrong program to be laying out a brochure in, your text will be rasterized and blurry for starters

use InDesign or Quark, or if you must Pagemaker

not if you design it at 300dpi

how about a font name so we can check the problem?

NOTE: If we don't have that font installed, we may ask you to attach it for testing purposes only.

nah, but blocks of text look much, much crisper from a vector based program than PS 6 imo, not to mention justifying the type would be much easier

vector or not, once it goes to print the quality would not be noticeably higher.

You have to draw a box with the type tool first and then type your text into it. When it's in a box the justify buttons aren't grayed out. Just click on the type tool and drag it to create a box. One thing to remember is that if you want to resize the box, grab a handle from one of the corners, otherwise it will resize your type as well as the box.
