Hello, I'm very new to using a digital camera, I've only had it since Christmas. I've had my fun with grapics, but I don't have any educational experince with any photo editor. I would like to buy photoshop, but I'm not sure if I should buy Photoshop elements or Pro. Any suggestions welcome!! Thank you to everyone

I take it that you were meaning Elements VS Photoshop

It would depend alot on the $$ you have to spend.
If you are intending to use it just for your pictures etc,
Elements would work fine for you. $99.00

Photoshop CS $649

If you're just creating a photo album, photoshop is overkill. It costs a lot and is not user friendly enough for the inexperienced. I would also suggest Elements. For super simple photo needs, why not try picasa? its free

I use Photoshop CS but as you say it is a lot more expensive, Elements maybe better for you.

I think that you will like Photoshop 7 the best. It is expensive, and it will take you a while to learn, but it will last for years!

Please check out some PS examples at my site!

It really is all about money. If you have the money, then I'd go with photoshop cs. You may only be working with photos now, but once you get into it who knows where your creativity may lead you! if money is an issue, then I'd go with elements. It'll do everything you need it to.

You could get an older version from eBay, too, and upgrade.

If you are just using it to manage and make simple edits to your digital photos, I'd try Picasa first: http://www.picasa.com/

If that doesn't have enough functions, it sounds like Elements will work for your needs. But, as someone noted, you can download a free trial. That's the way to go! Try before you buy.
