I know this is probably not what you want to hear.. but in my opinion the best thing you can do is experiment. The more you work with Photoshop the more you will learn.

You will develop a style of your own. This cannot be taught.

There are also a lot of great texts on Photoshop at most bookstores. If you are dedicated to mastering the software, it might be worth an investment.

take a class. that's what I did, and it helped me out a lot. granted, I already knew what I thought was quite a bit of stuff in Photoshop, but I was wrong. Take a class at a community college or something. It'll cost you some cash, but it will pay off in the long run. Also, you can get a book. Scott Kelby's Photoshop (insert edition here) Down & Dirty Tricks is an excellent way to learn how to do some cool stuff, and then you can mess around with the settings and stuff and get your own effects and results.

Good Luck!!!

Very Simply, to blend images folow these instructions

> Open two images of roughly the same size (you can check this through IMAGE-IMAGE SIZE)

> Create a new file bigger than both of your images (e.g. if each image is 200 x 400 make the new file 400 x 800)

> Use SELECT-ALL and then EDIT-COPY-select the new File-EDIT PASTE both images into the one file

>Arrange the images however you want them using the Move tool

>Use the Eraser Tool with the opacity set to about 12% to slowly work through the top image (LAYER) and you get a blended affect

This is just one of many methods for doing this.

There is also a Photoshops Automatic photo merge function. Go to File > Automate > Photomerge > then select the images you want to merge and have a play.
