I want to create a single line that curves up and then down. I then want to bevell the line.
(I think i am wanting a tool that curves a straight line but can't seem to find)
You can use paths.. very simple.. its kind of difficult to explain though.. look it up on google
on the layer pannel click paths
at the bottom youll see somthing that looks like a sheet of paper, click it to make a new path
use the pen tool to draw and edit the path
to stroke the path (thus creating the line) go to the paths window and click stroke path.

btw, TayloratCTS, that was a good suggestion. Also, you can use the circular marquee tool and stretch to fit the right size, the stroke selection, and then cut off half.
