Is it printing some text or logo somewhere in picture?
Can anyone please tell me?

Depends. You can put a visible watermark on an image, which is just a semi-transparent mark somewhere, or there's digital watermarking that is invisible to the eye, but traceable.

With images such as photography many put their name or logo on the bottom (left or right) as a copyright. This portrays a watermark feel. With websites; because stealing designs are rather easy many people put the 'company or logo' all over the images to prevent stealing.

watermarking is like putting your signature on your graphic.

here's one example:

and here's another:

you're not limited to anything, so you can pretty much do whatever you want. usually when I watermark something, I put my website's URL on the bottom corner so it's not obtrusive but visible and gives me credit.

Others gave you fairly good replies. But, there are few sides of the watermarking story.

It is desirable that you put your watermark somewhere on the bottom of the picture (left or right bottom corner). You can also put it on the top left/right corner, but few things can make a problem:

If your watermark is too big, it can destroy the image, meaning that it's not viewable. Also you can put a small watermark, but it can be cut out of the image, so someone can still steal your image.

The best thing is to find a compromise between these two problems. Fairly small watermark must be put somewhere where it can't be cut out without loosing the point and the meaning of the image.

I suggesst you read further here (and GOOGLE for more):

Water mark is something used to protect authorization & documents. Usually it is in semi transparent & if anyone try to scan it will not show on screen.
