hi, i created a swish type shape in photoshop with the pen tool. its just an outline. then i tried direct selecting the shape and right clicking and "fill path" with foreground color, and it fills the background instead. every time i try to fill the pen tool path i made, it fills the background instead. any help greatly appreciated. thanks. derek
nevermind i found the answer from a previous post i did. LOL!. i was using "subtract from shape area" at the top instead of "add to shape area" oops.
anyway, that allowed me to fill the path normally with the foreground color. derek

now i have a new problem, i copied the shape to a different layer and when i try to shrink it down, it only shrinks the line and not the fill. any help greatly appreciated. thanks. derek

nevermind i solved it by using add to shape button, or making the foreground layer the same as the anticipated fill color. then changing fill, then resizing it. 2 ways.
