I want to start learning from scratch

I have used Adobe Fireworks for quite a while now, however it is starting to not be enough. I wanted to start learning Photoshop and ask you guys for advice on how to start.

Bear in mind, that I am only 14 and need a quite simple and easy start, but I am capable so I am hoping to get onto the harder stuff too.

Going from Fireworks to Photoshop shouldn't be too hard, you should already have the basics of working with layers and the basic tools. I would suggest getting one of the Classroom in a Book series for Photoshop, you might try your local library.

There are TONS of Photoshop tutorial sites that will help you create different effects and such, which will teach you to use the tools in Photoshop.

Take a project you've done in FW, and take a crack at doing it in Photoshop.

Try going to deviantart.com and look at the photoshop tutorials. There are some amazing artists there that post free photoshop tutorials for all levels.
