Box around the text

Hello!

I suppose this may sound too easy, but how can I get the box around the text layer when I have selected it? So, I can resize or rotate it freely and see how big exactly is that text layer.

I have copied a layer from another psd file and when I seletc the text tool and click on the text, it allows me to edit the text but the box is not appearing! When I create a new text layer, the box is there!

So, can you tell me, please, what am I doing wrong here?

maybe you need to activate the "show bounding box" option (on the top), click on the check box.

No, it's not that box. I need the box when the text tool is selected, not the box for image transformations.

The advice you were given was pretty much correct. The only thing is you need to select the move tool first (while on the text layer)

Hi there, by default photoshop doesnt provide a "text box". You can go through "view/show extras" to see if its the bounding box your after, or to scale text, simply select the letter and go through "edit/transform". Its possible youre thinking of pagemaker or something which shows a box by default.?
