Wierd colour settings?

Somehow my colour settings are appearing more dull than they should be. I dont think they used to be this way?

When I have a project open in Photoshop the colours look quite dull, but when I go 'Save for Web', it appears normal [as if Im just previewing an image, or viewing it through a browser].

Does anyone know how I can fix it? I always work in RGB if that helps.

Are you sure your colors are set to HSB in the color picker settings ? I accidentally changed that once and it drove me nuts trying to figure out what was going on with my colors.

hmmm Im not sure? is that under Edit > Color Settings?

If it isn't that:

try

toolbar > VIEW > proof colours -
if that doesn't work
toolbar > VIEW > proof set-up - check your monitor RGB

I had a serious colour problem in photoshop but thankfully adobe pinpointed the problem... I was designing stuff which turned out several shades darker/lighter once exported. - my head exploded that week but thankfully I photoshopped it back together..
