Best way to learn photoshop

Hey, I was wondering what is the best way to start learning photoshop?

Buy the program legitimately, and then start using it everyday to do what you want to do. It doesn't matter if it is website compositions, photography touch up, or whatever... just use it!

You'll get better as you go as long as you constantly try to improve, get feedback, and listen to that feedback.

find small stuff to do for yourself or for friends, when stuck at something just google and you'll find your answers right way, and as nickohrn said use it everyday

Yeah, messing around with it is probably the best way.

If your looking for something specific then search on tutorial websites or on google

I forgot to mention this earlier, but if you're looking for a tutorial site, I would recommend http://good-tutorials.com. I've used them in the past and they are absolutely fantastic.

If you can find someone who is an accomplished photoshop user who will let you watch them work for an hour or 2 you'll learn absolutely loads far quicker than following any tutorial.

"Adobe Photoshop CS3 Classroom in a Book (Classroom in a Book)" a great book its pretty expensive for a book but if your serious about learning photoshop it will teach you every thing you need to know about photoshop cs3 & cs2.

Well there are several resources on the internet for beginners....but if you like reading books and would like to learn from Scratch...
tryout the latest Photoshop for dummies.....its not a joke....thr explanations are very simple and very much implemetable...
Once you are good at handling all the tools and features, you can try out all sorta stuffs yourselves....

If not a book....get hold of an ebook of the same!

How far I know that is Photoshop is huge software and if you want to know it perfectly and work with smooth you need huge practice maybe you practice only 2 moth but you have to maintain regulation.But practice and follow tutorial in net or take help from any institute and go for huge practice.

try it yourself dont be afraid...at first its sure is difficult...next ask questions to people that know what their doing...that was my first two key steps to learn the basic stuff.

You could also download podcasts this is a very nice way to learn some extra tips and trix. itunes got tons of photoshop tutorial podcasts

I have downloaded some videos from iTunes one time....... You must know photoshop to do the tricks from the videos!

The best way to learn Adobe Photoshop is practice,practice, practice. The more time you spend in Photoshpo learning different methods the better you will be. You will of course get frustrated at time but hang in there. Before you know it you will be making the big bucks. Keep your options open and NEVER think your better then anyone else at Photoshop. Then way i learned it was a mix of Tutorials And Personal Experience
i mostly play around in photoshop some times when i wanna be the best i can be ill look through difrent ttorials and get some nice effects from each one of them and add them in my creation.
