importing from corel photo paint colors are wrong

Hello, I'm having a horrable time getting a poster made in corel photo paint into photoshop as cmyk. If I export as rgb from corel and import as rgb the colors are perfectly the same. But I need it as cmyk and when exported as cmyk and imported as cmyk photoshop is much duller. I'm using corel PP 10 and photoshop 7 and have tried exporting many different types eps is what I would usually use. I've tried turning off all color managment and nothing seems to work?!?!!? Please help!

This may be a dumb question... but here goes anyway. Why dont you import the image as rgb and use photoshop to switch to cmyk?

I tried that but the colors shift like if I open in cmyk. I don't know what to do!?!?!
